BLOOD is set to flow on Big Brother as the six remaining contestants prepare for their first on-screen killing. In a storyline echoing that of hit movie Chicken Run, hungry housemates yesterday began hatching a plot to bump off one of their hens to make a slap-up meal. Never mind the vote on which of the humans will be chucked out of the Channel 4 house tonight . . . the big question is: Which chick is for the chop? Top candidate for the pot is screen hunk Darren's favourite bird, Marjorie - but producers have warned that the hens may not taste good, because of treatment they've had from a vet. But that has not calmed the housemates' bloodlust. Craig used the chicken debate to take a plucky swipe at the first Big Brother contestant to be kicked out - veggie Sada. He suggested: "When we go to Sada's book launch, we could take Kentucky Fried Chicken, chicken biryani and chicken soup." A show insider revealed: "Big Brother warned them that because the chickens have just been wormed, they may not be good to eat. "But there is nothing in the rules to stop them killing and eating the chickens - and they look desperate for meat." Meanwhile, a punter who staked £200 on Melanie winning the contest has demanded his money back - because of sexy newcomer Claire. He says he backed Mel because she was the only fanciable female on the show, but Claire's arrival has changed all that. William Hill now rates Anna as 15-8 favourite to win the £70,000 Big Brother prize, with Mel at 11-4, Craig 4-1, Claire 11-2, Tom 13-2 and Darren 7-1.
