Big Brother's Thomas offered Jamaica break

Latest Big Brother casaulty Thomas has been offered a week's holiday in Jamaica to recover from his six-week experience.

The trip, provided by ebookers.com, was chosen by internet surfers from a list of 10 options as the one most likely to suit his personality.

Thomas was evicted from the Big Brother house in a closely-fought vote that attracted over a million calls to the programme. When the votes were announced, laid-back Thomas simply raised his eyes, smiled and said: "I'm going home."

From the four housemates nominated, Thomas received 30% of the votes. Darren came second with 29%. Bookmakers William Hill had marked Northern Irish Thomas as favourite to be evicted this week at odds of 6/4. Anna was given 22% of the votes, while Craig was the viewers' favourite with only 19%.

The only eligible resident to escape nomination was Mel - the housemates were not allowed to nominate late replacement Claire. This was Thomas' second nomination and he will be leaving for his home in Omagh, Northern Ireland, after 43 days in the Big Brother house.

With only five contestants left, bookmakers William Hill make Anna and Craig 2-1 joint favourites to win the £70,000 prize.

Melanie is rated third most likely at 7-2 and Claire and Darren are 6-1.
