Big Brother pair in bedroom romp Big Brother contestants Craig Phillips and Claire Strutton have spent half-an-hour writhing in a bed in the boys' room - but the show's producers say the couple didn't have sex. New girl Claire, who has been in the Big Brother house for just 72 hours after replacing Nick Bateman, is the only participant who knows that sponsors Southern Comfort are offering £50,000 to the first contestants who have sex. The Big Brother website was jammed with people watching the pair fumbling under the covers and were left wondering if the pair had won the cash. Claire, who told her fellow contestants she spent £4,000 to have her breasts enlarged, was only wearing a T-shirt when she got out of bed while builder Craig wore just boxer shorts. A Big Brother spokeswoman said: "They were just having a laugh. They took some clothes with them so they could chuck them out." Producers are said to be hoping to encourage more steamy antics after installing a hot tub. While they were in bed they whispered to each other about how the cameras could see them. Fans are currently voting on the latest eviction with a record number of housemates to choose from. Four have been nominated for eviction at the end of the week - with Craig shortlisted for the second week running. Flirty Mel is the only eligible contestant to have avoided the possibility of being given the boot when viewers decide who is thrown out of the Channel 4 gameshow on Friday. Until yesterday there had been only two nominations each week but as numbers in the house dwindle, the chances of tying on a small number of votes has increased. Craig was in the running for eviction with Nichola last week, but his leading role in the showdown with "nasty" Nick helped to boost his popularity and avoid ejection. Craig has appeared in the show's diary room and spoken about how his reprieve in last week's vote was "the best day in my life".
