Textile printer Nichola is latest to leave Big Brother

The latest person to be evicted from Channel 4's hit programme Big Brother is Nichola, the shaven-headed textile artist from Bolton.

More than one million members of the public voted in the latest eviction, with 72% in favour of getting rid 29-year-old Nichola and 28% voting for Craig, a builder from Liverpool.

When the results of the vote were announced 28-year-old Liverpudlian Craig, who now lives in Shropshire, sighed with relief, while flamboyant Nichola let out a loud scream.

She was given 90 minutes to pack her belongings and say goodbye to her housemates before leaving the purpose-built site in east London.

Nichola will leave via the front door unlike "Nasty" Nick Bateman who was forced out of the back door for trying to influence the voting in an attempt to win the £70,000 prize money on offer for being the last person left in the house.

The disgraced star has shrugged off public revulsion saying: "I was just taking part in a game show."

But the former stockbroker, who was given the boot from the Channel 4 show for his underhand methods, admitted he was over-competitive and hoped to mend his ways.

Nick, 33, said he hoped his housemates would "forgive and forget" his plotting and scheming during the five weeks he spent on the show.

Nichola's exit means there will be five contestants remaining in the house.

Programme directors said that a replacement for Nick will be installed over the weekend.
