Big Brother has replacement for disqualified Nick
"Nasty" Nick Bateman will be replaced in the Big Brother show after he was disqualified for breaking the programme's rules. The housemate the nation loves to hate was kicked out for "persistent infringement" of the rules by trying to manipulate the voting process which leads to contestants being evicted. Although Nick became a hate figure in some parts of the media, his fellow housemates only rumbled his underhand tactics today when they discovered the stories he had been telling each of them did not match up. Nicholas was evicted at 5 pm today. He will be replaced and Channel 4 said details about his replacement would be announced shortly. A spokesperson said there was a substitute list of candidates in the event of an unplanned eviction. In a statement the programme makers said: "Having earlier issued both a verbal and a written warning to Nick and all other contestants making it clear that they faced eviction if they continued to contravene the rules against vote-rigging, it was decided that Nick's continued presence in the house was no longer tenable." The decision was taken after a day of high-drama in the Big Brother house. The official website received so many visitors trying to log on to the webcams that the website kept crashing all afternoon.
