Sunita to say goodbye to Big Brother LONDON (Reuters) - Trainee barrister Sunita will become the first contestant to leave the Big Brother programme voluntarily when she walks out of the hit reality TV show tonight after only seven days in the purpose-built house. Millions of viewers saw Sunita in the Big Brother diary room telling Channel Four producers she was not happy in the house. "I think they (the other 11 contestants) are all a nice bunch...they are not people I would usually spend much time with and I think perhaps I was a bit naive coming into the house," she said. After the show aired on Wednesday evening Channel Four said Sunita had told Big Brother producers she wanted to leave. She will be replaced with a new housemate and Friday's scheduled eviction will go ahead as planned, producers said. The 25-year-old will be the first contestant on the show to pack her bags voluntarily. In the first series two years ago "Nasty" Nick Bateman was evicted by the show's producers for trying to cheat. The new series of Big Brother kicked off last Friday with 12 contestants moving into a camera-filled house. The contestants are cut off from the outside world and are evicted in turn by public phone votes until there is a final winner for the 70,000 pound prize. The six male contestants are Alex, a 23-year-old model, Johnny, a 29-year-old fireman, Lee, a 21-year-old gym manager, 22-year-old trainee solicitor PJ, Sandy, a personal shopper and stylist -- at 43 years the oldest Big Brother contestant yet and Spencer, a 22-year-old ski shop assistant. The women contestants are Adele, a 23-year-old DJ and personal assistant, Alison, a 27-year- old cinema manager, 20-year-old Jade, a dental nurse, Kate, a 22-year-old IT desk administrator, Lynne, a 36-year-old mature student and Sunita, 25, a trainee barrister. The previous winners of the show, Craig Phillips and Brian Dowling, have both gone on to present TV programmes.
