BOMBSCARE IN BB HOUSE !!!

The Big Brother house has been evacuated after a suspect package was found at the Elstree complex where the programme is filmed.

A sniffer dog had indicated the "little box" could contain explosives, a Hertfordshire Police spokesman told BBC News Online.

Bomb disposal experts have placed a 200-metre cordon around the house.

The housemates have been moved to a room at the far end of the studio complex.

Friday's live show due for 2030 BST was cancelled.

But a Channel Four spokesman said he expected the live eviction programme to go out at the usual time of 2200 BST.

Public vote

Three Big Brother housemates are counting down the hours to find out which of them will be evicted on Friday.

Chef Gos Gosal, 31, from London, is 1/7 favourite with bookmakers Ladbrokes to become the seventh contestant to leave the Channel 4 reality show.

Nush Nowak, 23, a student from Malvern, Worcestershire, has odds of 4/1 for eviction; while IT systems administrator Ray Shah, 25, of London, is 25/1 outsider to go.

The trio face the public vote after getting the most nominations from fellow contestants on Monday.

The group is nearing the end of its first week with newcomer Lisa Jeynes, 35, from south Wales.

Speaking to Big Brother in the diary room, she said the six remaining housemates were lazy and dull - and acted as if they were stuck in a "boring marriage".

Revealing her desire to win the £70,000 prize, she said: "I'm not in here to please them, I'm in here to win a game, as much as they don't know that."

She added: "I want to change the routine... even if it means making a fool of myself."

Critics have also accused this year's contestants of being boring, although producers insist they are happy with the fourth series and its steady ratings.

Anouska Golebiewski, 20, who became the first evictee from the UK house, is joining an Australian version of the show for a week.
