CAMERON OFF TO SOUTH AFRICA IN SUDDEN TASK SHOCKER

Cameron's Going To South Africa!
Day 31, 10:48

In Big Brother's most extraordinary twist yet, Cameron has accepted the impromptu individual challenge and is heading off to South Africa.

In accepting the challenge, he was told that he had to deliver a message - stored in an envelope - to the Big Brother House in Randburg, South Africa.

When he entered the Diary Room and provisionally accepted the challenge, he still didn't know he was off to South Africa.

"Big Brother would like to point out that accepting this challenge will result in your Big Brother experience being markedly different to that of your housemates," he was told.

"You are now an ambassador for Big Brother," it went on. "You are not permitted to tell fellow housemates this.

"Your first job as ambassador is to deliver a message from Big Brother. In return you will be granted a two-week amnesty from nominations. You will however still be able to make your own nominations.

"It will take some time to deliver your message, but you will return to the Big Brother House soon."

And then the bombshell. "Big Brother wishes you to know your message needs to be delivered to Africa."

Cameron rocked forward before blowing air out of his mouth like a whale. "Wooo," was all he mustered initially. "Africa - woweee!"

"More specifically," Big Brother continued, "it must be delivered to the Big Brother House in South Africa. They are expecting your delivery tomorrow."

Cameron proceeded to collapse into hysterical laughter. "That is phenomenal. I can't believe it," he blustered.

So that's that - he had ten minutes to pack, then had to move into the Reward Room - decked out as an airport lounge - before jetting off to Africa.

As Cameron might say, "Crikey..."

A housemate from Big Brother South Africa will be arriving in the House tomorrow, at the same time as Cameron arrives in South Africa.

If Cameron thought the wilds of Hertfordshire were a world away from Orkney, how will he handle his African adventure? Ian Joliet poses the question.

The housemates still think their Scottish friend's locked away in the Reward Room - little do they know that he couldn't be further from the secret room.

Tomorrow, Cameron will enter the African Big Brother House in Randburg, South Africa where he'll meet new housemates like Gaetano from Uganda, Mwisho from Tanzania and Tapuwa from Zimbabwe.

Big Brother Africa started only two days after our own, but the experience couldn't be more different. Although both Houses only get one hour of hot water per day, African viewers are encouraged to tune in for the 'Shower Hour.'

There's been some fairly consistent flirting in Elstree, but nothing like the bedroom antics of Abby from South Africa and Ugandan Gaetano. Yesterday, they woke up in each other's arms following a night of passion and she's also been linked with Kenyan Alex and Stefan from Namibia (share and share alike!).

One of the most eccentric housemates seems to be Mwisho, who's already earned himself a reputation for heavy drinking and lively behaviour. Last week, he covered himself in warpaint with warrior marks on his face, chest and back, and has assumed a confusing 'Peter Pan' role in the African House.

Conversely, Cameron often cuts a shy and retiring figure and often appears bashful when housemates like Ray and Tania start getting a little frisky.

As for the African housemates, they might well struggle with the fish trader's distinctive accent and Cameron won't be prepared for the animosity being directed towards Tapuwa. Sammi from Ghana and Alex have shockingly threatened her with death, due to the serious issue of room space.

One thing that will make him feel at home, though, is the weather. As it's currently winter in South Africa, the temperature is about 17 degrees Celsius, so it's not too "waarm, waarm, warm."
