PLEASE DON'T KICK OUT MY NARINDER. SHE ISN'T A TWO-FACED HORRIBLE SCHEMER.. SHE'S KIND AND LOVELY
EXCLUSIVE: BITTER HUSBAND IN PLEA TO SAVE HIS WIFE FROM EVICTION

THE others have got it all wrong. Narinder Kaur is a lovely girl without a bitchy bone in her body.

And nobody knows the Big Brother star who is facing eviction better than her husband, Jatinder Punia.

Jatinder, 30, insists his wife isn't a two-faced schemer and her antics merely show she is lonely and under pressure.

"She is completely without malice and even her face-pulling antics are just Narinder having a joke," says Jatinder. "The others in the house would all get on better with her if they just relaxed a bit more.

"She is a lovely girl and what the others perceive as bitchiness is just her having fun. She's not a horrible person and those who think she is are missing the point.

"She's the kind of person who says exactly what's on her mind - and to people's faces. If she's got a problem, you'll soon know about it."

Jatinder admits that his 28-year-old wife can be a bit blunt at times, but she is also always brutally honest.

"From the very first day I met her, Narinder has been nothing but honest - with me, her friends and anyone else who comes across her," he says.

"Yes, she can be a bit blunt but that's just her way. If she's happy or sad, she makes sure you know it."

Viewers have until tomorrow night to decide whether Narinder or fellow contestant Paul Clarke will get the chop. Yesterday Narinder - who quit her £30,000-a-year job selling medical supplies to have go at the C4 show's £70,000 jackpot - admitted her nomination had hurt.

"The group have been very unsupportive," she said. "They'll be so happy if I leave."

But her husband urges viewers to vote to keep her in. He says: "If people want to be entertained they will keep Narinder in the house. When she went in she said she wanted to entertain the whole country - and that is what she has done.

A LOT of the other contestants don't seem to understand her sense of humour.

"She was expecting everyone to be loud and fun like her. Instead a lot of them are quiet and have their own secret agendas. There's a lot of scheming going on."

And Jatinder, who lives in Leicester and is also a medical sales rep, insists he's been perfectly happy with Narinder's touch-feely antics with Brian.

"Brian's gay," he says, "so I'm not in the least bothered. Even if he wasn't gay I would still trust her. She's clearly formed a good friendship with Brian.

"They are the best things about the programme. They are both really funny. I can't see any other reason why anyone would want to watch Big Brother except to see Brian and Narinder. It would be a disaster for the programme if she were voted out."

Last week millions watched as Narinder wept in the Big Brother diary room and said how much she missed her husband, a heart-rending moment for Jatinder whom she calls 'Jat'. She has also told housemates he is the only man she has ever slept with.

"Watching her get upset is hard," Jatinder says. "But she wouldn't miss me so much if she got on better with the other housemates.

"I knew sooner or later Narinder would mention me and talk about our relationship. We're head-over-heels in love, like any young married couple, and I knew she would tell the country the first chance she got."

The couple first met in 1991 when they were students at Derby University.

"It was only the second day and I noticed this very pretty girl in the queue at the refectory," says Jatinder.

"After she had bought her dinner the tray slipped out of her hand and spilled all over the floor.

"There was a loud cheer and everyone was staring. I could see she was very embarrassed, so I went over and bought her another dinner.

"We got chatting and hit it off immediately. Narinder was so different from anyone I'd ever met before. She had strong opinions and was very loud and very outspoken.

"I was immediately attracted to her confidence and personality as well as her obvious good looks. She really is the whole package, a girl in a million."

The couple married seven years ago. They had two ceremonies - the first in an English registry office, followed by a traditional Sikh wedding.

"We are very supportive of each other and each of us helps the other to make their dreams come true," he continues.

"Big Brother was one of her dreams and she was overjoyed when she got the news that she's made it into the house. She sent me a text message which just read 'I'VE GOT BB'.

"I knew instantly what she meant. It was a happy day for us both.

"Life after Big Brother may be a good opportunity for her. I think she would be great on TV, and I know that is something she would love to do.

"She and Brian should do something together... they've got great chemistry."

Jatinder watches his wife every night on TV and admitted that it's heartbreaking to see her.

He says: "Turning on the TV to see what kind of day your wife has had is weird to say the least. I get quite angry and upset if I see her being attacked or when she's in distress. I just want to go and get her out and give her a big hug.

"Some of the men - particularly Dean - seem not to like confident women. It seems he thinks women should be seen and not heard.

"Narinder hasn't got on with Helen either. They would have been fine if Helen had just accepted that Narinder is more intelligent and funnier than she is.

"If there were five Narinders and five Brians in the house it would be no problem, but the others are jealous of their friendship.

"It is only because the rest of them have no personality or sense of humour compared to Brian and Narinder. They're the losers, not Narinder."

JATINDER'S VERDICT

BRIAN

HE and Narinder have become a double act and everyone loves them. I think he is really funny and he reminds me of Graham Norton.

I am sure they will keep in touch after Big Brother. Perhaps they will get the chance to work together. They would make a terrific TV team. I'm looking forward to meeting him, but I don't think it will be for a while because has to be one of the favourites to win.

HELEN

I THOUGHT she and Narinder had buried the hatchet after their earlier clashes. They had reached an understanding and Narinder didn't nominate Helen this time. I hoped Helen would move on too, but she still nominated Narinder.

She seems very young for her age and very petty. I think her lack of tact has caused problems, but there have been times when I've felt sorry for her because she is very naive.

PAUL

HE IS a nice bloke with no hidden agenda. He seems very sensitive with a placid personality.

He has already been nominated twice, so I don't think he has much hope of winning.

I've nothing against him, but I want him to be evicted this week because he is up against Narinder.

If he does stay in I think he won't last longer than a couple of weeks at the most.

AMMA

SHE has a problem with Narinder. She doesn't get her humour.

She's also boring and the way she farts and burps is offensive.

Amma has annoyed the others by smoking. She insists it isn't a luxury, but it is. Narinder has to make do without, so why should Amma have her cigarettes?

People are getting fed up with her - another couple of weeks and she will be out.

BUBBLE

I DIDN'T like him at first - he was too loud and irritating but after a couple of days he seemed to mellow.

But he misunderstood Narinder when he nominated her and called her a stirrer for interfering in a row between Brian and Josh.

It's easy to sit back and moan when others try to help. He's in it for the money and now the pressure is building we might see Bubble burst.

DEAN

HE has nominated Narinder every time and said they don't get along... he's made no attempt to get along with her.

The guy has no personality of his own. He hasn't rubbed anyone up the wrong way because he is so bland.

Unfortunately, he's in with a good chance. I wouldn't be surprised if they find him there when they clear the set - with the rest of the furniture.

LIZ

I DON'T think she is very honest.

What I really hate is the way she goes and hugs people right after she has nominated them.

She definitely has her own agenda and is playing to win the game.

I think she is in with a good chance - she hasn't been nominated yet and is keeping on the right side of everyone.

JOSH

WHEN he came in, I thought he would really lighten things up but I'm afraid he just hasn't delivered.

He was billed as this loud, fun guy, but he hasn't lived up to expectations.

His clashes with Brian, the other gay guy, didn't help.

He seems to have stepped back and retreated into his own world quite a bit.
