'NUTTER' PENNY 1st TO BE AXED

By EMILY SMITH

NEUROTIC teacher Penny Ellis last night became the first housemate to be turfed out of Big Brother.

A massive 624,786 viewers - 58 per cent - voted to give her the boot while only 447,337 opted for rival Helen Adams, 23.

All the housemates hugged Penny, 33, in turn before she left - despite branding her "a nutter" because of her weird habits.

Narinder wiped away tears as Penny said goodbye, admitting: "I know I've been a bit much."

The Born Again Christian, who showed all three days into the show when she dropped her towel, has driven fellow contestants mad with her frantic cleaning and cooking.

She also caused tension by calling Stuart an a***hole when he said he would not sleep with her during a truth game.

Penny, of Stratford, East London, also slagged off "common as muck" Bubble.

Dean summed up the housemates' feelings for Penny when he said: "I don't know how she passed the psychological tests to get here in the first place."

A Big Brother spokeswoman said: "Everybody wanted her to go. She became a loner and they felt uncomfortable with her."
